| The Third Water
Tunnel project has been in progress deep underground beneath Manhattan Island
for the past twenty five years. It is scheduled to be completed some twenty
five years from today. The size of the project is almost incomprehensible. We
were fortunate enough to be able to participate in this amazing project in a
small way. Working for Hatch, Mott, MacDonald, an engineering consulting firm serving as a contractor to the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, we sent camera crews -- on several occasions -- down into the tunnel being dug under nearly the entire length of New York City. A while back, we produced a video news release for NYCDEP and the Today Show ran a segment on the story, using some of the B-Roll footage supplied in our VNR. More recently, 60 Minutes devoted an entire segment to the story, and once again some of our footage hit prime time. This will no doubt be the most amazing project my company will ever have had the pleasure to participate in, no matter what comes our way in the future.
